Takamasa Kitagawa

Takamasa Kitagawa ( Japanese 北 川 貴 理 , Kitagawa Takamasa; * September 5, 1996 ) is a Japanese sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

At the 2014 Athletics Continental Cup in Marrakech, he finished fourth in the 4 x 400 meter relay with the Asia-Pacific team.

In 2015 he was fifth at the Asian Athletics Championships, fifth over 400 meters and won bronze in the relay. With the Japanese 4-by-400-meter relay, he won silver at the Universiade in Gwangju and was eliminated in the preliminary stages at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing . At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, he was eliminated from the relay in the preliminary round.

He set his personal best of 45.52 s on June 27, 2015 in Niigata .

Kitagawa began studying at Juntendō University in 2015 .
