The Tactical Training Command of the Air Force USA (TaktAusbKdoLw USA) conducts and monitors the preliminary, initial and basic aviation training in the USA at the Sheppard AFB location .
history
Based on a decision by the defense ministers of the USA and Germany in 1990, the 1st German Air Force Training Squadron USA (DtLwAusbStff USA), which had previously carried out the training for crews of the F-4 Phantom at the George Air Force Base in California, was established in 1992 Holloman AFB relocated in New Mexico.
The Tactical Training Command of the Air Force USA (TaktAusbKdoLw USA), which was responsible for training the crews of the Tornado weapon system in addition to training the phantom crews, began service on January 1, 1996 and was transferred to the Air Force Aviation Training Center (FlgAusbZLw ) renamed.
On July 1, 2016, the Tactical Training Command of the Air Force USA was reorganized.
In autumn 2017, flight training in Holloman for the tornado was discontinued and transferred to Tactical Air Force Wing 51 in Jagel. The relocation of the last personnel and material from the Air Force Aviation Training Center ends in 2019. The US Air Force Tactical Training Command remaining in the United States was relocated to Sheppard Air Force Base , Texas, in April 2019 .

The Tactical Training Command of the Air Force USA has the task of training the air force crews. The training is carried out in the subordinate departments and ranges from initial aviation training and basic training to weapons system training, flight instructor training and weapons instructor training.
