The Air Force Troop Command ( LwTrKdo ) is a higher command authority of the Air Force and subordinate to the Air Force Command. The LwTrKdo was set up on July 1, 2015 in Cologne-Wahn and, in addition to the Air Operations Center, is a command authority of the Air Force at corps level.
assignment
The command has the task of ensuring the technical and service management of the subordinate units and agencies and their operational readiness. The command thus leads the operational units of the Air Force. In addition, it has to equip the Air Force with the necessary forces and resources according to its range of operations and tasks. For this reason, the command leads almost all support and training units of the Air Force.
history
As part of the streamlining of the command structure of the Air Force, the command was established with effect from July 1, 2015. The personnel of the commandos Command Operations Units Air Force and Command Support Units Air Force , which were disbanded on June 30, 2015, were used for the preparation , as a large part of the tasks of the two commandos were transferred to the LwTrKdo.
On April 4, 2018, the German anti-aircraft missile group 61 in Todendorf (Panker) was subordinated to the Dutch Defensie Grondgebonden Luchtverdedigingscommando (DGLC) ( German ground-based air defense command ).
