The Luftwaffe Support Associations Command (KdoUstgVbdeLw) was a command authority of the German Air Force subordinate to the Luftwaffe Command . With the establishment of the Air Force Troop Command on July 1, 2015, the Air Force Support Units Command and the Air Force Task Force Command were dissolved.
assignment
The main focus was on the task of the Air Force Command to provide the necessary forces and resources according to their range of operations and tasks. On the one hand, it assumed the so-called operational and supply responsibility for maintaining the operational readiness and operational readiness of weapon systems and is responsible for the weapon system-specific deployment logistics. On the other hand, it was responsible for the general military and technical military training of the soldiers. In addition, the command fulfilled other central tasks for the Air Force. To fulfill its tasks, the command was divided into the skill areas of logistics / use and basic military organization.
Some of the tasks performed by the command are carried out for the entire Bundeswehr (e.g. in the area of aviation safety by the general aviation safety in the armed forces or in the area of the aviation medical service of the armed forces by the general doctor of the air force ). The activities of the chief engineer (approval of aircraft) were transferred to the Bundeswehr Aviation Office in April 2014 .
history
As part of the realignment of the Bundeswehr , the command was set up with effect from July 1, 2013. Core components of the new KdoUstgVbdeLw were transferred from the Air Force Office (LwA), which was dissolved on June 30, 2013 , the Air Force Training Command (LwAusbKdo) and the Air Force Weapons System Command (WaSysKdo Lw). On October 1, 2013, the new structure was also implemented at the association level.
