history

As part of the realignment of the Bundeswehr , the Technical School of the Air Force 1 (TSLw1) and the Technical School of the Air Force 3 (TSLw3) were dissolved on December 17, 2013 in Faßberg . At the same time, the Air Force Technical Training Center, consisting of the North Department ( Faßberg Airfield ) and the South Department (Kaufbeuren), was reorganized and placed under the command of the Logistics Associations in the Air Force Support Associations Command ( KdoUstgVbdeLw ). The assembly roll call also took place on December 17, 2013. On June 23, 2015, responsibility for training the NH90 and UH Tiger helicopters was transferred to the army. On July 1, 2015, the support organizations command was dissolved and the school was now subordinate to the new air force command. In January 2017, air traffic controller training in Kaufbeuren was taken over by DFS.
