Dieter Quaas (born April 23, 1950 in Anklam ) is a former German politician ( DBD , CDU ). In 1990/91 he was a member of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state parliament .

Life

Dieter Quaas attended the POS from 1956 to 1966 and completed vocational training with a high school diploma (FA cattle breeding) from 1966 to 1969 . From 1969 to 1973 he studied at the Humboldt University in East Berlin and graduated with a degree in agricultural engineering. From 1973 to 1974 he was production manager at the Zarnekow young cattle rearing facility, Demmin district. From 1974 to 1984 he was an economist at LPG (P) Kandelin, Grimmen district and from February 1984 chairman of LPG (T) Griebenow, Grimmen district.

From 1980 he worked at the Humboldt University and in the VVB Tierzucht. He was a state-recognized animal breeding director for horse breeding. In 1981 he did three months reservist service with the NVA . Since 1974 he has been a member of the DTSB . Since 1984 he has been a member of the VdgB , since 1982 he has been the chairman of horse breeding - breeding station Griebenow. Since 1990 he has been chairman of the horse breeding association Voigtsdorf / Griebenow and since June 1990 member of the board of the horse breeder Mecklenburg-Vorpommern eV

Dieter Quaas is married and has two children.

In 1971 he joined the DBD. From 1985 to 1990 he was district chairman in the Grimmen district. With the merger of DBD and CDU, he became a CDU member. In the CDU he was a member of the district executive from August 1990 and of the state executive from September 1990.

In the state elections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 1990 , he was elected to the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state parliament with 56.8% of the votes in constituency 20 Grimmen / Stralsund II . On May 31, 1991, after a review of the members of the state parliament by the Gauck authorities, he renounced his mandate. As a young man, during his internship, he signed a declaration of readiness to work with the Ministry for State Security (MfS). After moving to another district, he withdrew from the work. The Gauck authorities found the note "No longer suitable as an informal employee" in the files. Georg Nolte moved up for him in the state parliament.
