Takumi Beppu

Takumi Beppu ( Japanese 別 府 匠 , Beppu Takumi ; born September 19, 1979 in Chigasaki ) is a Japanese sports director and former cyclist .

Beppu began his career in 2002 with the Jura Suisse-Nippon Hoddo cycling team . In the 2004 Tour of Japan , he won a stage. A year later he was overall sixth in the Tour de Hokkaidō . Since 2006 he drove for the Aisan Racing Team . In his first season there, he won the Challenge Cycle Road Race. In 2007 he finished fifth overall at the Tour of East Java .

At the end of the 2010 season he ended his career as a professional cyclist and has been Sports Director of the Aisan Racing Team since 2011 .

Takumi Beppu's younger brother Fumiyuki is also a cyclist.
