Takumi Shima ( Japanese 島 卓 視 , Shima Takumi ; born October 3, 1967 in Tokushima Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Shima learned to play soccer on the school team at Tokushima Commercial High School . He signed his first contract with Mazda in 1986 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League . In 1987 he reached the final of the Kaiser Cup . At the end of the 1987/88 season, the club was relegated to Division 2. In 1990/91 he was runner-up in Division 2 with the club and was promoted to Division 1. With the founding of the professional league J.League in 1992 and the associated reorganization of Japanese football, the Mazda became Sanfrecce Hiroshima . In 1994 he was runner-up in the J1 League with the club . For the club, he completed 71 first division games. At the end of 1995 he ended his career as a football player.
