Takurō Nishimura ( Japanese 西村 卓朗 Nishimura Takurō ; born August 15, 1977 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Nishimura learned to play football on the university team at Kokushikan University . He signed his first contract with the Urawa Reds in 2001 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 2004 he moved to the second division Omiya Ardija . In 2004 he was runner-up with the club in the J2 League and was promoted to the J1 League. For the club, he completed 82 league games. He then played for the Portland Timbers , Crystal Palace Baltimore and Consadole Sapporo . At the end of 2011 he ended his career as a football player.
