name of Talachamani

Talachamani was a Nubian king who probably ruled in the 5th century BC.

He is known from a granite stele that was found in situ near his pyramid Nu 16 near Nuri . The pyramid is relatively small and may suggest a short reign. After all, there is also evidence of inscriptions by the ruler in Meroe .

He is also called Arikamaninote in the large inscription of his successor . From this inscription we learn that he was the predecessor of Arikamaninote, who in turn describes himself as the son of Malowijebamani . From this it may be concluded that Talachamani was the younger brother of Malowijebamani. The order Malowijebamani - Talachamani may also consist of a Elektrumband be opened up with the name Malowijebamani Cheperkare that in the pyramid Nu 16 found and like to point to the close chronological relationship of Malowijebamani and Talachamani.
