The Rümmecke Viaduct is a 378.5 meter long motorway bridge on the federal autobahn A46 , which crosses the Rümmecke valley near Meschede , west of the Freienohl district , at a height of around 35 m. It consists of two single-cell hollow boxes , which are made of prestressed concrete and are located next to each other , which are 3 m high and 14 m wide and each have two lanes with hard shoulder. The superstructure rests on ten pillars with a bone-shaped floor plan . The spacing between the pillars is 36 m apart from the two end fields, the end fields have a span of 26.75 m and 27.75 m.

The bridge was built from 1996 to 1998, whereby the pillars were erected first and then the superstructure was created with a prop scaffolding. The bridge was one of the first structures to use non-composite external post-tensioning together with a telescopic arm . The construction costs amounted to 19,178,263.40 DM

A special feature of the Rümmecke viaduct is that it crosses a two-circuit 110 kV overhead line.
