General

Talent in the state has existed in Baden-Württemberg since 2003 and in Bavaria since 2005. However, scholarships have been awarded to foreign students by the Markelstiftung, supported by the Robert Bosch Stiftung , since 1985 . Up until 2012, only immigrant students were supported; this criterion has not played a role since 2014. In total, more than 1100 pupils have been supported on their educational path so far.

The sponsors in Baden-Württemberg are the Robert Bosch Foundation and the Baden-Württemberg Foundation . The patron is the Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg, Winfried Kretschmann . The organization is handled by the TiL office, which is located at the Institute for Educational Science at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen .

In Bavaria, the program is carried out jointly by the Robert Bosch Foundation and the Bavarian State Ministry for Education and Culture . The state's prime minister, Markus Söder, is also the patron of Bavaria. The program is handled by the State Institute for School Quality and Educational Research .
