history

Talheim is first mentioned in a document in 776. A noble family from Talheim has been handed down from the 12th to the 14th century, who were feudal people of the Counts of Grüningen-Landau . The castle has gone. Partly Talheim and Reichenstein came to the Zwiefalten monastery in 1499 , partly as a Württemberg fiefdom to the Lords of Stein, who in 1682 acquired almost the entire place. During the inheritance dispute in the 18th century, Talheim was divided between the Counts of Fugger- Kirchberg and the Lords of Freyberg , who after the transfer of state sovereignty to Württemberg in 1805 owned the responsible Patrimonial Office of Rechtenstein until it was repealed in 1809. Talheim was incorporated into the Oberamt Zwiefalten .
