The Seč dam is located south of the town of Seč in Okres Chrudim in the Czech Republic . It is located in the west of the Iron Mountains and dams the Chrudimka River .

The dam was built between 1925 and 1934 in the breakthrough valley between the castles Oheb and Vildštejn . The dam, built from granite blocks between the natural rock walls, is 42 meters high. It is 165 m long and has a thickness of 6.8 meters.

The reservoir of the dam is 7 kilometers, the water depth at the dam is 35 m. The capacity is 22 million m³. Below the dam, also known as Seč I, there is a smaller Seč II reservoir.

When the dam was built, the Podohbí settlement and some mills were flooded. A rock island located in it below the castle ruins of Oheb was declared a nature reserve in 1996.
