Tamaimo is a district of the municipality of Santiago del Teide in the west of the Canary Island of Tenerife . The place is located on a mountainside above Los Gigantes 600 meters above sea level. The main town of Santiago del Teide is about 6 kilometers north, Los Gigantes with Playa de los Guíos and Playa de la Arena is about 8 kilometers away.

There is not much tourism to be found in the natural village of Tamaimo. The place is quiet and still dominated by agriculture. For example, local fruit such as mangoes, papayas and bananas, but also potatoes and wine are grown. The cozy place is also a starting point for hikes in the Teno Mountains .
