Tamara Hope
Tamara Hope (born November 2, 1984 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian actress .
life and career
Hope's acting career began in 1999 with an appearance in the television movie Winslow Homer: An American Original . Further roles in television films followed in 2000, including leading roles in My Stepsister Is an Alien and The Royal Diaries: Elizabeth I - Red Rose of the House of Tudor . For her supporting role in the television film Sandy Bottom - Concert for a City , she received the Young Artist Award in 2001, and she received another nomination for this award in 2002 for Stormy Times . The actress had her first appearance in a movie in 2001 in the independent thriller The Deep End - Trügerische Stille .
In 2002 Hope took on the lead role in the Canadian fantasy series Guinevere Jones , where she played the eponymous protagonist for 26 episodes. Subsequently, the actress turned back to the films and was seen in predominantly Canadian productions, including the comedies Saint Ralph - Miracles Are Possible and Prom Queen - One Like None (both 2004). She had appearances in US productions, including the dance film May I ask? (2004) and in the disaster film Mayday - Katastrophenflug 52 (2005). At the Method Independent Film Festival 2005 she received the Breakout Acting Award for her leading role in The Nickel Children . She also received a 2007 Prism Awards nomination in the Performance in a TV Movie category for her role in Augusta, Gone (2006).
2007 Hope played in the second season of the Canadian television series Whistler , the role of Leah McLure , the series but was discontinued at the end of 2007. Most recently, the actress starred in the Canadian television productions Operation in Afghanistan - Attack of the Desert Serpents and Manson (both 2009) and in a guest role in the second season of the series Covert Affairs .
