War correspondent Sally Tyler works in Beirut during the Cold War . There she meets Leo Cauffield, who works for the British secret service. She falls in love and marries him. One day Leo disappears without a trace.
It soon turns out that Cauffield was a double agent working for the KGB . Sally drives to Moscow after him .
Reviews
Ed Gonzalez wrote in Slant Magazine that while the film did not reflect the realities of the Cold War era in the Soviet Union, it made Sharon Stone look good.

The director Marek Kanievska was nominated for a prize at the Moscow International Film Festival in 2004.
Background information
Some elements of the plot are based on the true story of Kim Philby and his wife Eleanor.
In the film, which is Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Savior shown but which has been blown up in 1931 and built in the years 1992 to 2000 again.
