Tamara Podemski (born October 16, 1977 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian actress .

Life and accomplishments

Podemski's father is Jewish and her mother is a native of the Anishinabe tribe . The actress starred in the play Rent in Canada and moved to New York City in 1998 , where she also appeared.

After a role in the German-Canadian miniseries Blauvogel (1994), Podemski played alongside her sister Jennifer in the drama Dance with a Murderer (1994). For her role in the film drama Four Sheets to the Wind (2007) she received a special jury award at the Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award 2008 .

Since 2019 Podemski has played leading roles in the series Coroner - Fachgebiet Mord (as Alison Trent) and Run (as Detective Babe Cloud). In 2020 she was to appear in Keith Barker's play This Is How We Got Here .

Podemski was married to actor Darrell Dennis from 2001 to 2006.
