Tamri Pchakadze ( Georgian თამრი ფხაკაძე ; born July 28, 1957 in Tbilisi ) is a Georgian writer , playwright and translator .

Life

Tamri Pchakadze was born in Tbilisi in 1957. She studied at the Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Philology. From 1980–2006 she worked in the Georgian literature department at the Institute of Shota Rustaveli and received her doctorate. In 2011 she was the editor of the publishing house "Triasi".

She has published novels, prose collections, plays and children's books. Her verses have been adapted several times as children's songs. Her work has been staged in various theaters. "A garden in a war zone" was performed in about four different cities.
