The Tanana Hills (also called Yukon-Tanana Highlands or Yukon-Tanana Upland ) are 360 km long mountain range in the Interior of Alaska . They stretch between the Tanana and Yukon Rivers from the Minto Flats in the west to the border with the Canadian Yukon Territory in the east.

In the north the mountains merge into the wide valley of the Yukon and the Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuge . In the south lies the Tanana Valley , the most densely populated region of Alaska north of the Alaska Range .

Mountain ranges within the Tanana Hills are the Ray and White Mountains . In the White Mountains National Recreation Area lies the upper reaches of Beaver Creek and in the Steese National Conservation Area that of Birch Creek . Both rivers are designated as National Wild and Scenic Rivers . The highest mountain is Mount Eldridge with 1905  m .

The Steese Highway from Fairbanks to Circle crosses the Tanana Hills.
