Tancred Ibsen junior

Tancred Ibsen junior (born July 6, 1921 in Christiania ; † February 11, 2015 ) was a Norwegian diplomat .

Tancred Ibsen was born in 1921 to Tancred Ibsen and Lillebil Ibsen . He is a great-grandson of Henrik Ibsen . Ibsen earned the academic degrees Candidatus oeconomices (cand.oecon.) And Candidatus juris (cand.jur.). In 1947 he started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs . Among other things, he was an advisor to the Norwegian EU delegation in 1962. From 1968 Ibsen held various ambassadorial posts, for example he was Norwegian Ambassador to Hungary from 1968 to 1973 , then to Egypt from 1973 to 1979 , from 1979 to 1982 in the People's Republic of China , from 1982 to 1986 in India and finally from 1986 to 1989 in Greece .

Ibsen is a holder of the Order of Saint Olav .
