Tanduri masala
Tanduri Masala , English Tandoori Masala , is a spice mixture used in Indian cuisine for marinating meat dishes that are cooked in the tandoor , a charcoal oven.
The main ingredients of the Tanduri Masala are ground chillies , cumin and coriander seeds . For the chicken marinade it is mixed with yogurt , along with garlic , onions , ginger , salt and lemon juice . Because of the color, saffron is sometimes added, and now often red food coloring ( beetroot ) is added.
