Tanja Bauer (* 22. April 1969 in Vienna ) is an Austrian sports - television presenter .

Career

Bauer began her professional activity in 1996 at ORF in the sports department. At the beginning she designed the TV reports, then became an editor and later took over the moderation of the ORF sports news. She also hosted programs on the Ski World Cup . In 2001 she switched to the German pay TV broadcaster Premiere (now Sky Germany ). She hosted the daily studio broadcast for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City . Since then she has mostly been employed in the motorsport sector and worked as an interviewer and presenter in Formula 1 for Sky Deutschland until the end of 2017 . In this male domain , she is the only woman in German-speaking countries and is used worldwide as a Formula 1 interviewer and moderator. She works for the print media as a columnist for the daily newspaper Austria , Bild am Sonntag and the auto-life-style magazine Torque . She also appears at car presentations, gala nights, press conferences and other events.
