Tanpopo ( Japanese タンポポ , dt "Dandelion.") Was a J-Pop - girl group and the first subgroup of Morning Musume . It existed from 1998 to 2003.

The group released eight singles, a studio and a best-of album, and two collaborations. With the third generation, the success waned, and a break was announced, but this never ended.

The group experienced a revival in 2009 under the name Tanpopo # ( タ ン ポ ポ # ) and with new members, but the new group did not release their own single, only songs on samplers .

There was an actual reunion for a gig in 2012 at Dream Morning Musume's final concert . The first generation and Rika Ishikawa presented a medley of the two singles Last Kiss and Tanpopo that evening .
