The Tarakchiev Point (English, Bulgarian Таракчиев нос Taraktschiew nos ) is a headland at the Davis Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is 4.4 km south-southwest of Cape Kater , 5 km northeast of Wennersgaard Point and forms the western branch of the Whittle Peninsula .

The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2009 after the Bulgarian pilot Prodan Taraktschiew (1885-1957), who had carried out the first air bombardment on October 16, 1912 together with Radul Milkow (1883-1962) in the course of the Balkan Wars .
