Taras Wiktorowytsch Kutowyj ( Ukrainian Тарас Вікторович Кутовий ; born February 25, 1976 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ; † October 21, 2019 near Tarassenkowe , Ukraine ) was a Ukrainian politician . Kutowyj was Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine from April 2016 to November 22, 2018 .

Life

Taras Kutowyj received a higher education at the National Academy of Security Service of Ukraine in Kiev in 1997 . From 1997 to 1999 he was an officer in the SBU . In 1998 he graduated from the Institute of International Economics at the National Wadym-Hetman University of Economics in Kiev . He was a Master of Business Administration , PhD .

Since December 12, 2012 Taras Kutovyj was a member of the Verkhovna Rada . He was a party member of the UDAR and became a member there after it had united with the Petro Poroshenko bloc .

After a cabinet reshuffle on April 14, 2016, Kutovyj, succeeding Oleksiy Pavlenko , Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine, became Hroysman's cabinet and remained so until November 22, 2018.

On October 21, 2019, he was killed on the way from Kiev to Poltava Oblast when his Robinson R44 helicopter crashed near the village of Tarasenkove ( Tarasenkova , Orschytsia district).
