The National Economic University of Kiev ( Ukrainian Київський національний економічний університет імені Вадима Гетьмана ; English Kyiv National Economic University (KNEU)) is a Ukrainian university in Kiev .

The university consists of 6 faculties and 3 institutes, with a total of 11,115 students and 820 lecturers. 151 of these have the title of professor or doctorate.

In 1992 the "College of Economics" founded in 1906 was renamed "Kiev State Economic University". In 1997 it was initially renamed the "Kiev National Economic University". After the violent death of the Ukrainian politician and financial expert Wadym Hetman in 1998, the university was also named after him.

There has been a scientific collaboration with the University of Konstanz since 1990 . The Ukrainian-German master’s course "Master’s in International Economics" has existed since 2000. There has also been an extended cooperation agreement with the Philipps University of Marburg since 2000.

The university offers four-year bachelor's and one to two-year master’s courses as well as two to three-year postgraduate and doctoral programs (PhD) in connection with economics and management. The teaching and research activities are spread over 64 chairs, of which 38 are at the university, 16 at the Krywyj Rih Institute of Economics and ten at the Krymskyj Faculty .
