The Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (ChNURE) ( Ukrainian Харківський національний університет радіоелектроніки ) is a technical university in Ukraine , which has the fourth level of accreditation. ChNURE is the only subject-related university in Ukraine where almost all subjects and fields related to information technology, radio engineering and electrical engineering are available.
history
In 1930, the Kharkiv Technical University (ChIBI) was founded on the basis of the Faculty of Construction of the Kharkiv Polytechnic (ChPI) and the Faculty of Architecture of the Kharkiv Art School. In 1944 the ChIBI was transformed into the College of Mining Industry of the USSR and in 1947 the College of Mining of the USSR.
In 1962 this university was reorganized as a university for mining mechanical engineering, automation and computing technology (ChIGMAOT). In 1966 ChIGMAOT was renamed the Institute for Radioelectronics (ChIRE).
In 1981 the institute was awarded the Order of the Red Banner and in 1982 it was given the name of the academic MK Jangel . In 1993 the Radio Electronics Institute was transformed into the Kharkiv State University of Radio Electronics (ChDTURE). According to the presidential decree № 591 of August 7, 2001, the university was given the status of National University. Today the University of Kharkiv is called the National University of Radio Electronics .
Approximately 7,000 students are currently studying at the university. The course was organized in three languages (Ukrainian, Russian and English). In honor of the university, the minor planet (10681) was named Khture .
The university has 10 teaching buildings and 8 student dormitories. The structure of the university includes the center for continuing education, the center for e-studies, the computer center, the postgraduate and doctoral departments, 30 research centers and an experimental plant.
At the university there are 30 scientific schools with well-known scientists at the top.

The research institute for laser technologies was created on the basis of the university. Research is carried out on both fundamental and applied topics. Various international conferences are held at the university each year. ChNURE is the coordinator of scientific development in the field of radio electronics. The National Association for Antennas, Kharkiv Representation of the International Society of Radio Engineers and Electrical Engineers have been organized and operate on the basis of the university.
Faculties and chairs of the university support close cooperation with many foreign universities, namely from Bulgaria, China, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Turkey, Spain, Poland, Finland, Sweden. The international student and teacher exchange program is developing very actively at ChNURE. Under this program, students receive two university diplomas (Ukrainian and European).
The ChNURE's scientific library gives students and teachers access to scientific, technical and methodological specialist literature, printed and digital information and scientific metrics databases. It has a computer reading room with internet access.
