The National Medical Ivan-Horbaczewski University Ternopil ( Ukrainian Тернопільський національний медичний університет імені І. Я. Горбачевського ) is a medical college in the Ukrainian city of Ternopil . It trains specialists in medicine , dentistry and pharmacy .
The university currently bears the name of the Ukrainian chemist Ivan Horbaczewski .

Today the university has five faculties with 57 chairs and more than 640 lecturers. A total of about 6530 students study there, including 1977 students from abroad. The university library has an inventory of over 400,000 books.
