After the founding of various institutes for crop production, mechanization, electrification of agriculture, engineering of the sugar industry and agricultural economics, the faculty was converted into an independent agricultural college and the institutes into faculties.

According to the decree of the Parliament of Ukraine number 158 of July 29, 1994, the college received the status of the national agricultural university. In the meantime, NUBiP maintains partnerships with more than a hundred universities in Africa, America, Asia and Europe.
