The National Pedagogical University MP Drahomanov ( Ukrainian Національний педагогічний університет імені М.П. Драгоманова / Nazionalnyj pedahohitschnyj uniwersytet imeni MP Drahomanowa ) is a Pedagogical University in the Ukrainian capital Kiev .

The college named after the Ukrainian historian and political thinker Mychajlo Drahomanow was founded on December 4, 1834 as the Pedagogical Institute of the St. Vladimir University . In 1997 it received the status of a National University.

Rector has been the philosophy professor and member of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences Viktor Andrushchenko ( Віктор Петрович Андрущенко ) since 2003 .

The university consists of 18 faculties with a total of 36,000 students and 1,500 lecturers. Of these, more than 250 have the title of doctor or professor.
