Tarbert is a small settlement on the Scottish Hebridean island of Jura and administratively belongs to the Council Area Argyll and Bute . Tarbert is 17 km from Craighouse . Tarbert can be reached from Lagg via a single-lane road ( A846 ) that leads to Lussagiven . It is located on the east coast of the island on the shores of Tarbert Bay . There are the remains of Cill Chaluim-chille . The name means isthmus .
