The Lower Taseko Lake is a lake in the Canadian province of British Columbia .
Lower Taseko Lake is located in the southern Coast Mountains in a glacial valley that opens inland to the Chilcotin Plateau . Located at an altitude of 1323 m , the 21.24 km² lake has a length in north-south direction of 16.5 km and a maximum width of about 2 km. The 1.3 km long runoff of Upper Taseko Lake to the south flows into the southern end of Lower Taseko Lake. The Taseko River flows through the two lakes in a northerly direction. The mean discharge is 37.3 m³ / s. The catchment area covers 1520 km².
Sea fauna
In the lake u. a. the following species of fish: bull trout , Dolly Varden trout , the Saugkarpfenart Catostomus Catostomus ( English Longnose Sucker ), and the Coregoninenart Prosopium william soni ( English Mountain Whitefish ).
