Tashi Gyeltshen

Tashi Gyeltshen (* 1972 in Bhutan ) is a Bhutanese filmmaker and journalist. Gyeltshen wrote for the Kuensel and Bhutan Times newspapers . He then worked as an assistant director at a production company in Bangkok . His first film, the short film Girl with a Red Sky from 2009, was commissioned by UNICEF and the Youth Development Fund. In 2010 he won the National Film Award Bhutan for Best Screenplay with his film Sem Gi Jurwa . His 2014 film The Red Door was shown at the International Film Festival Rotterdamshown. His first full-length feature film The Red Phallus was shown at the Berlinale 2019 in the Generation 14plus section.
