In front of the Edelhof
In front of the Edelhof is the name of one of the last multi-storey residential complexes in Hanover from the 1970s . The perimeter block development, built at right angles to the streets of An der Bauerwiese and Kneippweg between 1973 and 1979, forms the urban end of the surrounding recreational areas in the Hanover district of Ricklingen . The building complex is grouped on an artificially created dike that also houses the underground car park . A ground level permeability was achieved through the arrangement of numerous "gates".
The architects of the multi- storey apartment building were Horst Küthe and Rudolf von Öhsen , and the client was the then M. Neldel - KH Nelke GmbH & Co. KG housing company . Originally, it was intended to be used as a rental apartment building .
At the address Kneipweg 5 in 30459 Hanover, the association Solidargemeinschaft Wohnen Vor dem Edelhof eV was entered in the commercial register at the Hanover District Court on October 22, 2012 under the number VR 201788 .
