tastenwelt is a German special interest magazine for keyboard players that has been published since 1994 . The magazine's target group are keyboard players in bands, as well as keyboard entertainers and digital pianists. In addition to the booklet, audio examples of device tests and workshops can be downloaded from the homepage. The content-related focus is on tests, purchase advice, play and stage practice. Individual issues of tastenwelt contain a CD with changing contents.

Rubrics

  • News: The novelty section is divided into product presentations and current reports from the music and pro audio scene.
  • Showbiz: The magazine section includes portraits of musicians and bands, supplemented by a service section with music law issues.
  • Keys: The key section is divided into tests (arranger keyboards , synthesizers , workstations, digital pianos, etc.), knowledge (expert interview) and workshops on playing practice with electronic keyboard instruments.
  • Stage: The stage section is structured in the same way as the key section - with tests ( PA systems , stage electronics, live recording, microphones, etc.), expert interviews and various practical workshops.
  • Software: In the software section, programs for musicians are presented - the spectrum ranges from virtual sound generators to music notation programs .
  • Special: The special section of each issue deals with changing main topics; Usually this is a mixture of buying advice, background knowledge and practical tips.

Frequency of publication

The magazine appears bimonthly at PPV Medien. In addition, “tastenwelt EXTRA” is a special issue that comes onto the market every year; the focus of content alternates between key and stage-related topics. According to media data in 2010 , the edition of the magazine was 25,000 copies, which were sold through subscriptions , kiosk sales and music stores.
