We Are Our Mountains ( Armenian Տատիկ-Պապիկ , grandmother and grandfather ') or " We are our mountains " ( Armenian Մենք ենք մեր սարերը , Menk' enk 'mer sarerě ) is a monument on a hill at the northern entrance to the city of Stepanakert , built in 1967 was .

The work of the Armenian sculptor Sargis Baghdasaryan is widely regarded as a symbol of the de facto independence of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (now the Artsakh Republic ). It is made of tuff and shows an old Armenian man and woman who represent the miners from Nagorno-Karabakh . The sculpture is also featured on the coat of arms of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic . Furthermore, Tatik Papik is depicted on the reverse of a 5 dram coin from the only previously published set of coins from Nagorno Karabakh from 2004.
