The MTX Tatra V8 is a two-seater sports car from the Czech manufacturer MTX spol. It was presented at the 1991 Prague Motor Show.

history

The MTX Tatra V8 was drawn by the Czech designer Václav Král and built together with the MTX company, hence the name "MTX". He had the air-cooled V8 engine of Tatra 613-4 , which, however, bored to 3.9 liters and with carburetors or Bosch - K-Jetronic equipped. The body corresponded to that of the prototype 625 , but had a different front hood, a larger rear spoiler and scissor doors.

On May 8, 1997, the vehicle broke the 1/8 mile (200.25 m) speed record at 210.895 km / h.

Kanye West drives the vehicle in his 35-minute short film Runaway.
