Taubenbreite 2–9 is the name used in the Quedlinburg monument register for a former settlement in Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

The settlement was located northwest of the historic Quedlinburg old town, west of the Taubenbreite Hospital .

Architecture and history

The settlement was built during the First World War as part of the neighboring garrison hospital . It consisted of four two-story half - timbered houses . Two of the buildings were parallel and in a row. The houses were traditionally designed. Each semi-detached house had two projections . The facades were clad with boards vertically. In the years 1920 to 1922, the town planning officer Paul Laumer converted it into living space for refugees.

The settlement has been described as remarkable for local and social history.

Around the beginning of the 21st century, the listed estate was demolished and replaced by new buildings. Some of the new buildings are also clad with vertical boards.
