Pigeon tower in Saint-Uniac

The pigeon tower (French colombier or pigeonnier ) in Saint-Uniac , a French commune in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in the Brittany region , was built in the 17th century. The pigeon tower has been classified as a monument historique since 2005 as part of the Manoir de Quénétain (manor house) .

The round tower made of quarry stone is closed off by a slate roof. The lantern as the crowning of the roof served the pigeons as access to the interior, where there are around 300 nests. There was a rotatable ladder there that could be used to clean the nests.
