The pigeon tower (French colombier or pigeonnier ) of the former Montierneuf abbey in Saint-Agnant , a French commune in the Charente-Maritime department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was built in the 16th century. The pigeon tower has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1951 .

The round pigeon tower from Haustein originally had 3500 pigeon nests. It is crowned by a lantern .
