Tay Eich

Tay Eich (born April 1, 1955 in Berlin ) is a Hamburg lawyer, association official and former member of the Bundestag ( The Greens ).

education and profession

After attending a grammar school in Hamburg, Eich studied law at the University of Hamburg . He passed the second state examination and has been working as a lawyer in Hamburg since then.

politics

Eich was one of the leading figures on the Hamburg Colorful List . From 1985 to 1987 he was a member of the state board of the Hamburg Green Alternative List (GAL), the successor party to the Colorful List. In addition, he was a member of the Federal Program Commission of the Greens. In the early 1990s he joined the ecological left around Jutta Ditfurth and became editor of the magazine ÖkoLinX.

On February 20, 1989, Eich succeeded Thomas Ebermann in the German Bundestag via the Hamburg state list of the Greens , to which he was a member until the end of the 11th electoral term in December 1990. In the Bundestag, Eich was a deputy member of the defense committee and a deputy member of the committee for intra-German relations.

In addition, Eich was a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the Assembly of the Western European Union .

Club activity

Tay Eich was Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of FC St. Pauli from 2010 to January 7, 2014 .
