The Taylor Peak is a 2,550 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is the highest of those peaks that separate the Helman and Tyler glaciers in the Admiralty Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1964 after the New Zealand aurora researcher Claude B. Taylor, scientific director of the Hallett station in the year 1962.
