Modular Production System

At the RoboCup 2015 in Hefei, China, the team was able to assert itself in second place. The team consisted of Lukas Hofmann, Felix Bärtschi, Thomas Duppenthaler, Florian Gehrig, Bryan Schwengeler, Ken Kaufmann, Michael Johner and Simon Zeltner.

Compared to the last competitions, the tasks and rules of the Logistics League have changed fundamentally. Before that, the stations were on the ground and pucks were used to play. To make the Logistics League more interesting and realistic, Festo developed the Modular Production System (MPS). The MPS is a trolley with a production system on top. Thus, an entire production plant with different production systems can be set up modularly and flexibly. In order to reach these stations, the Robotino also had to be adapted. The substructure, the column and the platform are already provided by Festo. In addition, a lidar (light detection and ranging), two cameras and a gripper were installed. The most important part is the development of the software, which was programmed with Java .

Solidus Cup

In 2015 the HFTM held its own competition at the school. Football was played with Robotinos controlled by game consoles. The aim of the competition was to get vocational students from surrounding schools excited about the fascination of robotics. The next SolidusCup took place on June 17th, 2016.
