Teamwork is a software suite from Irish Software as a Service company Teamwork.com and is run by two software developers. The company is based in Cork , Ireland . The program package covers the areas of project management , real-time communication and customer support .

history

Peter Coppinger and Daniel Mackey founded their company Digital Crew in 1998 and created websites, internal company networks and solutions for the web. Most of the customers came from Cork. They were looking for software that could help handle customer projects. This should be very general and very easy to use in order to be useful for any type of company. In early 2007, Digital Crew emerged Teamwork.com. Starting with the development of various designs, the first version of the project management software TeamworkPM was released in October 2007 . In March 2015 the software was renamed Teamwork Projects . In 2015, the new real-time communication product Teamwork Chat and the helpdesk software Teamwork Desk were launched .

In 2014, Coppinger and Mackey bought the teamwork.com domain for $ 675,000. The domain purchase went down in history as one of the world's most expensive purchases ever made by an Irish company. Initially, the offer price was $ 11 million.

In 2015, Teamwork.com was named one of Gartner's "Cool Vendors 2015" for program and portfolio management . In 2016 Teamwork.com received the Company of the Year Award .

Components of the suite

The collaboration software Teamwork Chat was released in January 2015. It allows users to set up virtual rooms for meetings and is completely integrated into the project management software. The license is free of charge.
