The Teardrop Pond (English for Pool of Tears is) a small meltwater in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . In the Denfeld Mountains of the Ford Ranges , it is 1.5 km southwest of Greegor Peak .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names gave it a descriptive name in 1970 based on the shape of the lake.
