The Greegor Peak is a 550 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . It rises 5 km west-southwest of Mount Passel in the Denfeld Mountains of the Ford Ranges .
Scientists from the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) mapped it. The United States Geological Survey did this again based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from the years 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after the biologist David H. Greegor, who was involved in the second survey campaign in Marie Byrd Land from 1967 to 1968 as part of the United States Antarctic Research Program .
