Mount Passel is a 562 m high mountain in the shape of a ridge in the west Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . It looms 4 miles north of the Swanson Mountains in the Ford Ranges .
Geologists of the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) discovered it in December 1940. It was named after Charles Fay Passel (1915–2002), geologist and radio operator on this research trip and involved in the discovery of the mountain.
