Technology quarter
The Technologie-Quartier is a 12 hectare industrial park in Bochum-Querenburg . It is located on the site of the former Mansfeld colliery (Mansfeld V colliery, Urbanus 5 shaft), east of the Bochum University of Applied Sciences . The city of Bochum has been following the development into an industrial area since 1995. At the location u. a. QVC and Tieto branches. The central axis is Lisa-Meitner-Allee. The focal point is the Leonardo-da-Vinci-Platz. The thermal power station of the Ruhr University Bochum is also located on the edge of the area towards the Königsbüscher wood .
The second business park in the west of the two universities is the NRW health campus .
