Technorama (fair)

The Technorama is the name for a year at three different venues in Germany take place exhibition of vintage cars and classic cars . The parts, tool and accessories trade represents a marginal area of ​​the trade fairs.

Story and concept

The fair first took place in Ulm in 1979. This market for vintage cars and spare parts was located in the Donauhalle and two other halls. At the first fair, the 50 exhibitors were visited by around 3,000 people. The halls had been equipped with vehicles and spare parts and with the help of the historic fire brigade of the Ulm fire brigade.

Classic car enthusiasts met for the first time in Kassel in 1985. From 1994 to 2004 Technorama also took place in Hanover . In 2005 Technorama moved from Hanover to the airfield in Hildesheim.

Exhibition locations

The individual venues have their own specialties and take place at different times. In Kassel the fair takes place in March, in Ulm in May and in Hildesheim in September. The organizer is Jens Güttinger.

Ulm

The halls in Ulm offer an area of ​​around 20,000 m². The outdoor area is the same size. A total of around 850 exhibitors, dealers and associations visit the fair. The fair has around 25,000 visitors. At the fair in Ulm, there is also a tug meeting.

kassel

The Technorama in Kassel has been taking place since 1985 and offers a total exhibition area of ​​30,000 m². Eleven halls have a share of 16,000 m², the rest of the area is open air. The 400 exhibitors are visited by around 15,000 visitors. A motorcycle special is a special feature of the fair in Kassel .

Hildesheim

The Technorama in Hildesheim is the smallest of the three trade fairs and has been taking place since 2005. A total of 37,500 m² is exhibited at the Hildesheim airfield , one of which takes up 2,500 m². Around 200 racing drivers and 300 exhibitors take part in the Hildesheim Technorama. These are visited by around 10,000 people. The classic car races are a specialty of Hildesheim.
